Staking is LIVE!
$5TARS Staking can only be accessed via the official 5TARS website. There's a dedicated allocation of 130 million $5TARS tokens for staking over the next two years, using a halving technique. Furthermore, a portion of all in-game $5TARS token purchases will be allocated to staking rewards.
Staking
Users have the option to lock their $5TARS tokens in a staking pool for a duration ranging from 30 to 90 days.
By participating in staking, users will receive:
$5TARS token rewards, distributed based on their score in proportion to the total pool's tokens.
Staking pools will be available on the Base Network (Base), with additional networks planned for the future.
How Does Staking Work?
Users can stake their $5TARS tokens in a pool for a duration ranging from 30 to 90 days. For instance, staking 1,000 $5TARS for 60 days will generate a % of the rewards. This percentage remains with the user unless they choose to withdraw their $5TARS before the lock period expires, which would result in a capital reduction.
What is a Capital Slash and How is it Determined?
A capital slash is a penalty applied when $5TARS tokens are withdrawn before the staking period is completed. The penalty is calculated using the formula:
Capital Slash = 0.05% × Remaining Days
For instance, if a user decides to withdraw with 30 days still left in their staking period, they would incur a 1,5% fee.
How are $5TARS Rewards Calculated?
The $5TARS rewards a user earns are based on their amount relative to the total $5TARS in the staking pool. For example, if a user holds 1 million $5TARS tokens in a pool with a total of 100 million $5TARS tokens, they would be entitled to 1% of the total rewards distributed.
What are the Consequences of Withdrawing Tokens Early?
If a user withdraws their tokens before the lock period ends, they will potentially lower their tier level. Additionally, the withdrawn $5TARS tokens will incur a capital slash, which is calculated based on the remaining lock duration.
Staking rewards
The 5TARS staking model relies on a fundamental concept: the amount of tokens being staked. Based on this factor, token holders will unlock various in-game benefits and different levels of APY (Annual Percentage Yield).
Staking Tokens Amount Rewards
There will be 6 different staking levels that will generate various in-game benefits, ranging from discounts within the game to participation in exclusive events. The greater the number of tokens staked, the more benefits will be unlocked for the user.
Special NFT Packs
At the Basic Level of token holding, users will unlock access to special NFT packs reserved exclusively for holders, along with the opportunity to participate in Arenas featuring exclusive prizes.
Discounts
Holders of a certain token amount will enjoy an additional 5% discount on purchases made in the "Shop" section within the game, excluding transactions involving withdrawals.
Additional 5TARS game benefits
Achieving and maintaining the Silver Level will allow holders to access all the benefits offered by the Season Pass without needing to purchase it within the game.
Governance voting
Having enough tokens to qualify for the Gold level will allow users to have voting rights on certain aspects that will be subject to voting within the game, such as new features, decisions regarding Golden and Platinum Arenas, various prizes and events, etc.
Game revenue sharing
Entering the highest staking level, the Diamond level will allow users to receive a portion of the percentage of tokens allocated to rewards for in-game asset purchases in tokens. Of all asset purchases made in tokens within the game, 25% will be allocated to the team to cover game maintenance expenses (servers, moderators, office expenses). Another 25% will be allocated to the game revenue benefits mentioned in this point. Another 25% will go to ecosystem rewards to be distributed as prizes in the game. The final 25% of tokens collected in this way will be burned.
